This is the homepage for the Visualization and Information Retrieval (VIR) Research Group at the College of Information Science and Technology, Drexel University. The mission of the group is to enrich the digital information environment through better human computer collaboration. The group's research areas include: Information Visualization, Information Retrieval, Knowledge Mapping, Content Management, Health Informatics and Citation Analysis.
Exploratory PubMed Search -- a simple visual interface that let users interact with search terms and search queries. It automatically converts free text searches to controlled vocabulary-based queries. PNASLink -- Mapping of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences Associative Information Visualizer A Map of Information Scientists -- an interative author co-citation map of the top 100 most-cited authors in information science.
